Happy Thoughts Benefit Health

As we look at the whole person - there is no way we can separate our body's health and the way we think! Here are two segments from Dr. Bruce Lipton whom, I think, really has done a lot to bridge the gap between science and the unseen part of ourselves........

Dr. Bruce Lipton shares how he began walking his talk by changing his thoughts which then brought about positive changes in his outer life. He is considered one of the pioneers in bridging science and spirituality..

The added benefit of positive thoughts are they can also negate toxins in the outer world from harming our bodies.

A little about Dr. Lipton:

  • Dr. Bruce Lipton, a cell biologist, in his research at Stanford's School of Medicine between 1987 and 1992, revealed that the environment, operating through the cell membrane, controlled the behavior and physiology of the cell, turning the genes on and off. His discoveries presaged one of today's most important fields of study, the science of epigenetics (control above the genes). His research shows that energy impacts cells as much as the physical (chemical), substantiating and validating the efficacy of alternative therapies and spiritual healing. Lipton is currently regarded as one of the leading voices of the new biology.
    • When I first recognized that the brain of the cell was the cell membrane, rather than genes, I was blown away, for the mechanism revealed that life was controlled by signals from the “environment.” The significance of this finding is that the identity of the “self,” distinguishing one individual from another, would also represent an environmental (external) signal.... If the cell (organism) dies, its identity [spirit, intelligence] signal is still present in the environment. At that moment or awareness, I realized that we have an externalized “identity” and are immortal. The realization of a transcendent “identity” brought an amazing sense of peace into my life, for I had truly lost the greatest of all fears ...death. It was the most profound experience for me, a non-spiritual scientist that wasn't even looking for that particular understanding.”

  • Dr. Bruce Lipton on The New Biology: part one of several video segments.
Recent advances in cellular science are heralding an important evolutionary turning point. For almost fifty years we have held the illusion that our health and fate were preprogrammed in our genes, a concept referred to as genetic determinacy. Though mass consciousness is currently imbued with the belief that the character of one's life is genetically predetermined, a radically new understanding is unfolding at the leading edge of science. Cellular biologists now recognize that the environment, the external universe and our internal physiology, and more importantly, our perception of the environment, directly controls the activity of our genes. This video will broadly review the molecular mechanisms by which environmental awareness interfaces genetic regulation and guides organismal evolution.
